Wednesday Recap

Boys #52

It’s a pity that at this point I don’t foresee any more jumping on points for new readers.  A lot of new revelations are in order to help bring the book ot a close and hopefully with Darick Robertson.  Though the nice surprise is that instead of Russ Braun as stated on the cover, we have John McCrea providing interior art.  A nice surprise.  Anyone who is anticipating the Captain America movie with the World War II scenes should probably put these issues aside until that fantasy is fulfilled, as Ennis seems to have his own take in mind, given the cover to next month’s issue.

Comic Book Comics #5

Fred Van Lene and Ryan Dunlavey continue their sequential history of the sequential art. Encompassing the greatest copyright issues in 31 pages broke the pacing from the previous four issues. It will be interesting to see if the next issue concludes everything satisfactorily.

Joe The Barbarian #8

This took a while. With the critics comparing this limited series to a movie script, now I feel like I just unpaused a movie I paused six months ago. I’ll have to get back to you on this one.
