Paul really tried, people.
Yep, that was pretty much my reaction. This is one of the strangest, most half-assed “events” I’ve ever seen. It’s all set-up to a climax you don’t care about because the little you DO know about the characters isn’t at all compelling, and yet when they die or whatever, you seem to be EXPECTED to find it sad. Instead, you say, “Soon be over.” That’s if you even want to give a damn.
Honestly, I think at this point it’s all just introduction of a toy sub-line.
